OK, I’ve fiqure out how to make the clear membrane we are using not stick so much. It was a pretty easy solution actually! Next step is to put our specially designed medical grade one way check valve on it. This process took a little while to develop in order for it not to leak here. Last December we did extensive testing on a number of different bags to perfect the method. Attached to the check valve will be a pump that will allow us to suck out the air to make a vacuum seal! After all the air is pumped out, you can snap off the pump and cap the valve. The cap is really only to keep out sand and dirt if you are at the beach or lake.

We’ve put together our first prototype of the DRYCASE waterproof iphone bag. The clear membrane that we’ve selected looks great and it allow you to use the screen and take photos. Right now it’s very ’sticky’ though because of the surface of the iphone is so flat. We’ll have to work on a new formulation for the clear membrane that doens’t stick as much. We are getting closer though! We should have to DRYCASE ready to roll for summer boating, swimming, surfing, kayaking and all other water activities!
