Now one might ask why would you want to ruin the zen of surf session by bringing your iPhone out in the line up with you. I think it’s important to know when to leave your phone in the car or at the house and enjoy the ocean. However there have been some times when I simply could not go out surfing becuase I had to be available to be contacted if someone needed to call me (one of the drawbacks to running a company). Last Thursday was one of those days. I took my DryCASE and put my iPhone inside, this time I took off the armband and slipped the elastic leash key loop in my boardshorts pocket around the top of the DryCASE where the lanyard usually clips on. Then I slid the iPhone in my pocket and went surfing. I did get a few important work related text messages that needed my immediate attention, and even one where I had to access my email. The best part was I was able to stay connenected and still be out surfing! Here’s a shot I snapped while out in the ocean through the crystal clear DryCASE.

We test each DryCASE individually under a vacuum seal before they are sent out to ensure that they will hold a air tight seal to keep water out. When we see that the DryCASE keeps a tight vacuum seal over the course of several hours of testing we know it’s good to go. Just to double check we put the yellow bulb inside the DryCASE under the vacuum seal, so there is actually an object inside trying to push out and fill with air. As you can see in the photo all the DryCASE are sealed tight and the pumps remained collapsed in the case.

This weekend we decided to go out and test the DryCASE while free diving and spearfishing. It was well worth it for the boat ride alone, as we speed out to where we thought the dive spot would be. I used the extreme activity arm band and strapped the Velcro over the metal bar above the center console of the boat. This worked well because it held the phone in place but still allowed me to pick it up and move it around a little if I needed to use it.
This came very handy when we realized the coordinates that we had weren’t exactly correct. We were able to look up the correct confidantes though the DryCASE, while the boat was cruising along splashing water over the bow. Once we arrived at the spot I jumped right in with my iPhone enclosed in the DryCASE. I dove 20 feet down with a bottom time of about 45 seconds, and the phone remained completely Dry and Sealed. I also got a chance to take a photo through the DryCASE. We had all just gotten out of the water and we were dripping wet and we wanted to have a photo of the fish while it still had all it’s color (not time for us to dry off). Here’s a picture of the Sheepshead Jon speared taken through the DryCASE.
We’ve finished production for the first batch of DryCASE, they are in stock and ready to ship. Orders will be shipped same business day as long as they are placed before 3:15 pm EST!
With Father’s Day quickly approaching, many people are searching for the perfect gift to give Dad on his special day. DryCASE, the waterproof case for phones, cameras, and music players, makes the perfect gift for Dad this Father’s Day. Will it work? YES – With the vacuum seal, just like our waterproof medical covers, IT IS THE BEST WATERPROOF CASE OUT THERE AT ANY COST! We have made medical products with the same vacuum technique for more than 10 years. If a surgery was to get wet, it might get infected. When used properly with the vacuum intact the device inside the case will stay completely Dry.
Any special Instructions? Everything WILL stay dry when the Dry Case is used properly. Leave the object in the vacuumed case and check it for 3 minutes before jumping into the water. The vacuum (no air inside) mean no gas/liquid exchange, = Completely Dry.
Why is the price so cheap? This is an introductory offer. We want people to try it and tell their friends. On July 1, the price will be 39.95.
Is it Guaranteed? YES – Money back, if not completely satisfied.
What if my phone or camera gets wet? Will you replace it? There are so many ways and there is no way of knowing how anyone’s electronic device might get damaged. Many of us have wet and broken devices from earlier accidents (That is why Dry Case was invented!) We cannot assume responsibility for wet devices otherwise people could all their old electronics to us. . Again, when used properly, with the vacuum seal intact, it will remain completely dry.
If you have any more questions feel free to email info@drycase.com
Unlike other product specific cases, DryCASE works with all kinds of different cell phones, digital cameras and Mp3 players. Whether you want one for you iPhone and iPod or your Blackberry and your Zune. Just slip the device in and DryCASE vacuum seals around it removing any extra material with the vacuum seal. It’s that simple.
This is just a great shot of the DryCASE we just took out by the pool. It really shows off the product. Though we should share it on the blog!

Dry Corp launches DryCASE: Waterproof case for phones, cameras, and music players
DryCASE, a clear case with a vacuum seal, protects iPhones, iPods, digital cameras, and any other personal items from water and sand, while still offering full use of the item placed inside the waterproof case.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 02, 2009 – Dry Corp has announced the launch of its new product, DryCASE, which will be available June 8, 2009. For the past ten years, Dry Corp has offered customers waterproof protection through a variety of DRYPro products. DRYPro has created durable and high quality waterproof protection for PICC lines, Ostomy, Prosthetics, and Casts. With this prior knowledge and experience, Dry Corp has developed another innovative waterproof product, DryCASE. DryCASE will offer customers the same waterproof protection of DRYPro medical products for phones, cameras, and music players.
DryCASE is made with a clear membrane and a medical grade one way check valve that pumps out air creating a water proof vacuum seal. This allows the case to conform to any item placed inside the waterproof case, whether it is an iPhone, iPod, digital camera, or any personal item users wish to keep dry. Once all the air is removed, the pump can be detached and the cap can be placed on the valve helping to keep out any sand or dirt. The pump can also remain attached and be used as a floatation device to keep DryCASE from becoming lost in the water.
Product Highlights:
• Waterproof vacuum seal
• Can be fully submersed in water
• Attached pump doubles as a floatation device
• Clear, flexible membrane
• Durable material that can withstand any water or beach activity
• Stretchy neoprene extreme activity armband
• Three way headphone jack with microphone capabilities
DryCASE, with its clear membrane and vacuum seal, permits the use of all the available capabilities of a cell phone, camera or a music player while at the beach, pool or lake. Users of DryCASE can take and view pictures, make and receive phone calls, and listen to music while the personal electronic device is secured in the waterproof case.
Corey Heim, Chief Operating Officer of Dry Corp, used DryCASE to protect his iPhone while he enjoyed a day on the water and was impressed with the results. Corey stated, “I went swimming, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding while using the stretchy extreme activity armband to secure the DryCASE with my iPhone inside. It worked great, kept my phone completely dry and kept me connected.”
DryCASE will be available June 8, 2009 through the company website, http://drycase.com, or by telephone at 886-6000-DRY. Customers can also preorder DryCASE by visiting the website.
