Chris at Hook Line and Paddle tests DryCases Limits
Many of us, including myself, are fatigued after a short one-mile kayak jaunt in the comfort of our local waterways. This is far from reality for our good friends at Hook Line and Paddle. They recently took part in a jaw-dropping kayak excursion from the base of Jordan Lake Dam, NC all the way down to Southport, NC.
This 203-mile adventure took the crew days to accomplish in our volatile North Carolina weather conditions. They took a custom route through a variety of different waterways, that eventually took them from the base of Lake Jordan to Southport.
The crew took along our new Snows Cut Cooler and the results were quite amazing. The Snows Cut Cooler has a 20 mm thick insulated waterproof liner and a Purge Valve for removing air to vacuum seal contents. This combination kept the entire 30 liters of storage ice cold for the crew’s trip. The new Snows Cut Soft Cooler kept our food and water cold for our 8-day trip! The Snows Cut was a necessity as we did our trip unsupported. -Chris, Hook Line, and Paddle.
The crew utilized our DryCase Phone Cases to ensure their media devices were protected while they navigated on their journey. The smartphone case kept our electronics dry. The was a key piece of gear because I would have been reluctant to use my phone on the water. Because of the smartphone case, I was able to capture great photos of our trip down the Cape Fear and post to social media allowing our friends and family to follow our journey. -Chris, HLP
To keep all their goods safe, dry, and organized, the crew used our Deca Bag and Basin Backpack. Dry case product where one of the most important pieces of gear that we took on our trip. Reliable dry bags to keep our clothing and gear protected. The Basin dry backpack was essential for the 4 portages we had to complete. DryCase is a fast and efficient way to keep your gear safe and dry. -Chris, HLP

There is not one piece of Drycase gear I could not have lived without on our trip. Great crafted well thought out product that took 8 days of punishment in some grueling conditions. -Chris, Hook Line, and Paddle
