An Atlantic Journey… iPhone survives 8 hours lost in the Ocean! Earlier this month we had a similar story occur when a phone was lost for 13 days at sea…well it happened again!

Our buddy John Sweazen from Facebook contacted us with the incredible story of losing his phone in the ocean and nearly giving up hope of finding it when his iCloud kicked in and alerted him to his phone’s location.

From the man himself:

” My iPhone decided to take an 8-hour swim in the Atlantic Ocean today. I had totally written it off when amazingly I received notification from iCloud that my phone had been located... 2.3 miles up shore from where it was lost.

Within minutes I was on the beach in that area. A very kind gentleman also on vacation had fished it out of the surf and had planned to drop it off at the local fire station. I don’t think he had any clue that the phone was still functioning!
Between DryCASE and Apple’s iCloud / Find my iPhone… I have been reunited with my iPhone once again!

Miracles DO happen!”
